Community Language Learning (CLL)


Community language learning (CLL) is an approach in which students work together to develop what aspects of a language they would like to learn. Here the teacher acts as a counselor and a paraphrase, while the learner acts as a collaborator, although sometimes this role can be changed.

Technique community Language Learning
1.      Student records what she want to say
2.      Student make note-taking about recorded (transcription)
3.      Reflection on experience (her teacher give a chance to reflect about the conversation how they feel about the language  learning experience).
4.      Reflection listening
5.      Human computer ( here students chooses some words to pronounce)

The important aspects in Community Language Learning
1)      Security = non-threatening learning environment
2)      Attention and aggression
3)      Reflection and retention = practice and whole self of student
4)      Discrimination = human computer

Areas of language and language skill that are emphasized
a.       Speaking
b.      Grammar
c.       Pronounciation
d.      Vocabulary
